Ghost rider: Spirit of Vengeance movie review

Johny Blaze is back as Ghost rider..A marvel comic character the ghost rider 1 was teared by critics and ticked box office with some good collections. But in the second part all goes in Awry, no depth in the story, not a engaging screenplay though you have Cage solid performance

Story

A French Priest (Idris Elba) comes to the monestry to save a mother(Violante Placido) and boy to hide in some safe place as Satan is in search of this child. Satan gives a work to cocaine or say smuggling gang to kidnap the child and kill her mother....The gang man is no one but the boys mother ex. The french Priest follows up the mother and boy but ends up with big Zero..He goes to get the help of John (Nicolas Cage) who is hiding in a secret place to control this evil demon inside him....ghost rider...

He is bike rider and inorder to save his dad he gets to the agreement with Satan ...does the jobs for him turning himself as ghost rider in the night..but his soul tends to be pure...he kills baddy's...Initially no good with offers finally takes up with a priest deal..that he may turn up to the normal life..will revaeal the secret when the boy is saved....The boy is kidnapped as Satan gets old ..needs to swap his soul to the boy so that evil in the world which is undestroyable...how Ghost rider saves the boy & mother..pulling down Satan plans ..send him underworld is said in grim and half baked script...

Strengths

Nicolas cage though is not in his usual cool demanour..delivering punches..he is the real man to take this movie atleast to a average rating ..with his cool one liners, screen presence and daring stunts..Cage has done justice..Idris Alab a little lengthier role has done good and Victoria looks beautiful.. CG work is laudable in parts..photo graphy is fine with the opening credit gets a pat ...music sticks to the ghost rider theme....and entertaining..

Weakness

Story has lot of loopholes ...travels in ridiculous premise...even Action scenes excluding the first one ...rest are childish..no panache in stunts..Screenplay is fair..with no twist and turns as lot of movies came up with similar idea of saving a boy /girl ..fight against evil and triumph good ones...boring and tedious ..watching in 3D is mere waste for the ghost rider plot...no where differentiate this technology....half baked script...looses continiuty...dont know what to do towards the end...

Ghost rider: spirit of Vengeance is just burning the vehicles with fire but fire not in the script

Verdict: 2/10( 1 for Nicolas and 1 for Photography & CG)
