World War Z 3D movie review

 

 World war Z the movie was wrapped up after 6-9 months delay with extensive reshoot and climax portions. Brad Pitt is also the producer of this movie, directed by Marc Forster( movies like Monster ball,  Bond Quantum of Solace..) is sure again Zombie apocalypse but in intelligent and refreshing treatment

Story

   Gerry( Brad Pitt) who is U.N crisis  specialist  called back in action by Chief  Secretary  of U.N after Philadelphia & the rest of the significant places saw out break of virus turning humans into blood sucking Zombies...( when they bite humans they turn in to Z with few min...)Gerry with his wife Karin( Mireille Enos) and two adorable daughters saved by the military team after few troubles...escapes ...

  Gerry and his family now safe in non-pandemic  area, where a  virologist  needs to find where it started, first known zombie infestation happened ...the cure ? too..Gerry first refuses, but sooner he accepts ....joins the navy SEAL team with doctor...lands in South Korea to find the truth...but alas..only a couple again goes to Israel as they  cautiously  built a wall around the city..to save from the Zombies...Gerry goes there..but sooner Israel too gets affected by the time..Gerry with a militant goes to WHO research center,as he got a hint to save human race from the threating Zombies...a cure found to save humans by Gerry as only few of survivors left in this world...What happens rest is fitfully riveting and exciting..scary too....

Strengths

        Brad Pitt as the producer and actor is excellent. He is the one man army against the Zombie apocalyse is widely acceptable...with the long blond hair and neck scarf in the T-shirt Pitt is  unbelievably  super smart and menacing...Most of the time , Gerry face comes into the screen and we too carried out by his face in the movie..The cast is good and had done their job fine..

      Super sonic screenplay ensures the movie pace and from the scene one it's word GO!!!the most memorable  sequences  in the movies are the introducing  Philadelphia pandemic, south Korea scenes, Jerusalem where Zombies Cascading down the wall, hitting  chopper, the flight attack..and the climax  laboratory  scenes are well executed with sufficient panache ..Most of the times is edge of the seat feel...whole movie is nail biter...VFX and 3D in particular space is spectacular....Photography is stunner..night shots and the Israel attempts are mind blowing.

     Mark Beltromi add the zombies pepp music with rock strings at the background is fantastic..editing is sharp and fitting..Actions scenes  surprisingly  exciting...Marc  Forster  direction is not the classic kind..but whole some entertainment..not much of blood split in the screen where director had chance of doing it...

Weakness

       Few of characters and situations are  clichéd..not detailed much and left half way or in the middle...story of Zombies and virus broke out reminds us movies such as 28 weeks later, I am Legend, Contagion etc...Other that Brad ..few performances all of them give a Zombie feel

World War Z is not on classic Zombies flick lines..but don t  mind Critic's tearing this movie into pieces...Brad Pitt World War Z is surprising exciting, Edge of the seat thriller from start to end, nail biting, spectacular visuals...solid fun.

Verdict:7.5/10( 1 for Brad Pitt, 1 for VFX, 1 for Music,1 for Photography & visuals, 1 for screenplay &  direction, .5 for climax lab & Jerusalem scenes, 1 for actions, and 1 for editing)
