    Story

The movie opens in 12th century in a village where 3 women were suspected as Witch supporters of evil and they are hanged out in the riverside . A father who prays for the women to rest their soul in peace with the bible kinda book but all of the sudden a witch from the dead women raise and kills him, destroys the book too. Then 13 nth century Two knights Behmen(Nicolas Cage) and Felson, best friends travel to Europe their country was fighting in the battle field killing lot of lives as they have been educated to the knights as God Enemy. Both the knights doesn't like the brutality in the battle field and leaves to their country .

On the way, they cross a town where the people of affected with a black plague which kills most of people. The king too got affected, and reveals it is all because of the evil witch. Two knights accepts the job of the king to carry the suspected witch girl with them , travels along the forest ,reach the a church, kill the girl & find the book to sustain from the evil. 4 others join these knights in the dangerous journey.

Behmen doesn't believe that girl is the witch but the father warns him to stay away from her as she can create a difference with us. But after reaching their, they come to know that they need to fight beyond the evil and with the help of god they destroy the witch and safeguard the book as well as the town from the plague too sparing all their life except the girl and another warrior.

    Strengths

Nicolas cage and Ron has played well their knights role and brings some interest in the movie. They both carry the movie single handedly with their seniority. The girl as suspected witch is beautiful and acted good.Last half an hour is thrilling with a interesting twist in the movie. Bridge broken, wolf kills, Church fights .....are saving factor otherwise will be a normal good VS Evil movie.

Photography is excellent with some Zoom in-zoom out shots of the vast landscape in the forest and the deadly valley. Music is pretty fine which is biggest attraction for a witch thriller.Direction is fair enough with racy editing at the last half an hour.

    Weakness

First half of the movie goes at a dull pace not even a single scene(Intro....excep) raises/horrors us . Its all the same old story and even a child know that Good is gonna thumbs up at last. Movie revolves around only 4 characters ensures a snail pace. Movie has been in the production for long years which is also big drawback as lot of similar movie thronged in theaters

Verdict:4.5/10( 1 for cast,1 for music, 1 for Second half and 1.5 for the DOP)
Movie canvas punch: Season of the witch is not a hell nor a heaven...
