Thaandavam movie review

         Thandavam ... A. L Vijay and Vikram come again with the same team of Deiva Thirumagal but this time with action thriller with director vijay love and emotion coating ..Vijay , the director known for his soft movies , does a mass act with Vikram in a tit-for tat plot.

Story

          Bomb blast happens at London at the new year...Exactly after an year...Kenny/ Shiva( Vikram) who is blind wears Bond kinda coat , takes a cab and driver is Tamilian( santhanam), and kills a person and escapes from the scene...where the driver gets inquiry..then Sara Vinayagam( Amy Jackson) is now Miss England lives with his Indian Father in UK..So to get her image boosted, the magazine company gets a photo shoot to showcase her social responsibility and meets kenny there..After few mis understandings, Sara falls in love with Kenny/Shiva...in the middle a mystery women comes and meet Shiva and say Target 1, target2 (!!!!!..easily audience identifies its Lakshmi rai), and kills them 

        Veerakathi( Nassar) who is chief inspector on investigating the murder case find the culprit shiva and shocking news that he is a terrorist from India involved in the bomb attack..so Police, Sara and driver are chasing them..alas..the flash back opens from the mouth of lakshmi rai with the same notion..Do you Know who he is???( from Basha till we hear at interval bang)...Shiva is none but a top Raw officer of India with the help of his friend( Jagapathi ) catches the terrorists..( fights are happening at the corner of some village feel)...Then Shiva's Family arranges marriage without his consent....he comes to village and make steps to stop the marriage because of his risky job..But soon after seeing the bride Meena( Anuskha) he okay's the marriage..But they both don't know the profile of job..so they come to deal that....after marriage..need to freinds, than love  than only life of marriage...shiva accepts and changes to her life style but Meenakshi doesn't understand the love of his husband..thinking that he is sub inspector in Delhi...

     Soon after few unfold events..( this are few good scenes in movie....) they come to know each other,,    But due to friends injury, Shiva takes up a international case of finding a flowchart which is threat to nation..he travels to London to investigate with help of senior officer( Shyaji)..due to his intelligence he corners the case unfortunately, it turns on him..and some body start to cross in the case and kill shiva...he comes to know the culprit ....but could not save her loving Meenakshi and his eyes....the rest is how he takes revenge on the person is revealed in dull and drowsy way..... 

Strengths

            It is sweet romance scenes between Vikram and Anushka stays in the heart after coming out of theatre...Though there is no logic, the scenes where these two comes are the surely the best part of the movie...we feel that, Vijay could have continued this scenes without flying to London...Promotion Recommendation scene, Delhi street fight and next home scenes, the song "Nee Enbathey" , intial delhi scenes with Anushka are the highlights.Vikram ..the man who is dedicated to the blind role of Echolocation  is the biggest asset,,his costumes, his delivery of dialgoues, body language as Shiva and Kenny is awesome...stunts and romance..Chiyaan shines bright in his six packs ...cool and composed..done the job easily would have said best...

        Anuskha is beautiful and homely with sarees and chudi's..though her screen space is less than a hour..she does a fruitful job as doctor and wife of Raw officer..her expression in the bed to close the eyes....big applause in theater...she does look good in acting part and expressions are wonderful..Amy Jackson fits the role of Miss England.. and she is cute and gorgeous in the movie..Santhanam gets us few laughter...Nassar and Jagapathy babu are sure a crowd pullers..Lakshmi rai is okay in the supporting role..

        Nirav shah is the man of the movie..his photography is picture perfect ...London shots and village shots brings us some great moments...Editing is okay.. and on G. V..."yaaradi ni Mohin" and "Nee Enbathey"  do stay in ears...as well as BGM...Stunts & chases are good and even the locations 

Weakness
                It is the story and drowsy ..lengthy screenplay lets down the movie....from the word go..logic too goes...it is lengthy and revenge scenes are nothing new and creative in terms of the action movie tag...Logic easily goes for the toss..Even the Doctor in London, doesn't know and he asks th eofficer.."what is Echo location? "....Nasser finds vikram as Terrorist from the london Database and gets into action to find him..why don't they sent and get the details from indian embassy about the Shiva?..Wife doesn't know about husband  profession...can't she know how an SI wear a Tuxedo , travels in fortuner car with files and guns to the office...?/?????poo sutharanga paaaa...Vijay in one word ,, he is responsible for the screenplay and logic flaws of the expected movie...He is good at the bonding of relationship ..but not on the bond act movies...work out on the action entertaing part Mr .Vijay...

Thaandavam is not the bad one..but not the best tooo..Story and screenplay are the villains...  

Verdict: 4.5/10( 1 for Vikram, 1 for Anuskha, 1for Nirav, 1 for Songs&  music and  . 5 for the romance scenes)
