Engeyum Eppothum movie review

Debutant saravanan has come out with meaningful movie promises to be different has got the fame for his guru A.R .Murugadoss...on an go..it is his first production venture with fox studios too...EE has got a subtle message to the society with some riveting lead cast and their performance...fantastic direction

Story

Movie opens with two buses collide each other in a highway...story opens with the title card four hours before the accident....Amutha(Ananya) who is search of his one day---man/lover Gowtham( Sarva)comes to Chennai from Tiruchi....but couldn't see him..on par Gowtham searches her in Tiruchi..but doesn't know that they love each other..another flash back opens..

Amutha land in chennai for job interview...but unfortunatly the sister who promised her to receive in the bus stand could not come there due to emergency...She meets a stranger....gets his help to interview spot..travels with him all the day..initially she is cautious that strangers in Chennai are dangerous but slowly she believes him in single day travel. AFter the day..she goes to home town ...feels that she is in love with name-not -know stranger.she comes in search of him but returns to Tiruchi in travel bus without finding him.

Opposite side..Gowtham too frustrated after searching her in Tiruchi gets in to Chennai bus...another love pair Kadhiresan(Jai) and Mani Megalai(Anjali) travels to Kadhir place near Villupuram also comes in the bus..kathir works in lath shop love Mani who is in the opposite house ..but Mani a staff nurse in private hospital being bold comes to his house and carries some test on kadhir..spends lavishly, goes to coffee shop, send him to his ex-lover, meeting constable father, organ donation..and even HIV test....finally being practical accepts his love and likes his innocence..they even tells their family member...both travel to Kathir native place from Chennai to meet his mother.....Fate has other ideas..two buses comes in opposite direction collides..what happens to the lead pair,their life,other small characters traveled in the bus told in a simple but diligent way....

Strengths

It is all Saravanan, debut director we welcome you for breaking the sentiment by showing a collision in opening scenes..well picturized..It is direction skills which make the movie..must watch entertainer..apt in handling love scenes by etching out unique characters in the movie through the lead cast...message movie can be well said in a entertaining way.the best example is EE...Jai, best performance after Subramnaipuram as innocent middle class guy steels the show..coffee shop, park scene, ----sure to reach heights if taken care with similar movies

Sarva...already proved mettle in Tollywood is welcome additon...looks smart,IT-savvy, suave Chennai guy does ot casually..not seen like acting..natural show....climax show promising talent..On the leading ladies...both have enough space..Ananya....big eyes with some unseen expressions..showing fear in looks, fun....innocent...she stole audience with cute and cute ..expressions..(watch Govinda songs!!!!) Anjali...skilled actress.. portrayed bold Mani Megalai with stunning performance..beautiful in traditional costumes...acts well in the climax....lived the way of common girl..chill....other cast like college girl and boy love in bus, kutti kid, newly married couple, Dubai return father...rendered some heart warming acting...

Songs by sathya are catchy...All the songs in the movie are hum worthy..Scores good in BGM too..Editing is top-class where as photography has been with movie doesn't disturb the story has got some never seen location... Collision shot is the best..CG work on the bus collision is applauded.

Weakness

Small small logic loop holes in the movie..Gowtham know the chennai relative house of Amutha..instead of roaming in Tiruchi Bus stand..why cant he go to house and get the address and meet his darling???why can't Anjali test the ex-lover with the test carried out with Jai..why she got the space for Jai??not justified....

Still....flaws are the part of human why cant in movies...that too meaningful flick..EE is eye opener for the travel and driving buddies..

Verdict:6.5/10( 1 for jai &sarva,1 for Anjali& Ananya, 1 for cast performances, 1 for music, 1 for screenplay, .5 CGwork and 1 for direction & message)
