Daniel Radcliffe has come a long way from the lengthy Harry potter serious..now tries his hand in horror thriller and other genres..The women in the Black is old fashioned, creepy less makes you sleep with some glimpse of fear
Direction: James Watkins
Cast: Daniel Radcliffe, Ciaran Hinds

Strengths
Daniel Radcliffe is the person who has shouldered the movie with his immense presence and star value. He is still with Potter hangover but surpasses easily the dejected lawyer role. Rest of the cast is okay..The sets/costumes which represent the 18th century needs special mention. Photography is at its best capturing the mood of characters and the place.Locations are wonderful..that too the haunted house in the middle of the sea...is creepy..the dark lighting's , the color tone of the movie is brilliant. Graveyard surrounded by the fog and children's at the doorstep ..oooohhhhhhh...
Weakness
The whole movie travels at snail pace...Fate-less the movie feel of dread and fear in the script is missing with some cheap noise and effects make you tiresome..barely the movie is creepy and frightening as all the characterization, mirror ghost reflection, haunted attic ,noisy chairs & stair case ..has seen before million times...audience doesn't seems to be worried about the climax as screenplay is dull and wooden...Like all of the ghost stories it is predictable ..
Very few scenes were good but on the whole this movie very below to the par of Daniel Radcliffe
Verdict:2.5/10(1 for Daniel Radcliffe, 1 for Photography & locations, .5 for two/three scenes)
Movie canvas Punch: The women is black is tiresome...
