Strengths

Sure.. the debutante director Satya shiva needs a pat for handling a unconventional story of suicide body collectors and their life in the society with soft romance laced with humor...Its risky task to spun a screenplay with this unique story that too..without the boredom deserves a special mention....good screenplay...has some gripping moments.. fantastic support of Yuvan shankar Raja and the cameraman .. the casting.. picture perfect takes the movie to a good one...love scenes between lead pair is shot aesthetically by the director.

Photography has given a exotic view of kodaikanal, has some never seen shot in previous movies...location are misty...Yuvan is the big draw ..he is the big name associated with this small movie..he mesmerizes you with his background score and songs.."Aathadi" and "Kadhal" songs ....This both persons have taken the movie to a level..On the casting part...Krishna is tremendous to watch..risked himself, emoted better ..improving his body language than his previous outing..Bindhu Madhavi is beautiful..her meaty role has provided to showcase her acting too...eyes speak volumes in hospital scenes..Thambi Ramaiah, Karunas..actor had better footage where the first half belongs to the ace comedians...Jaya praksah is neat in cameo

Weakness
The different story and the concept falls feet after 30 min where the movie gets into the love/revenge genre...It could have dealt more about the body collectors and the suicide lovers...Few scenes runs at a guessable lane..travels to commercial path...too much of Taasmac, drinks and smoke..could have been avoided...Second half is little slow and predictable

Kazhugu...is watchable for its fresh concept..the story....performances ..music

Verdict: 5.5/10( 1 for lead pair, 1 for casting, 1 for screenplay & story, 1 for photography..locations and 1.5 for little maestro Yuvan)
Movie Canvas Punch: Kazhugu..flies high
