Strengths
Vijay Antony act in little grey shade is good for his debut movie....At the time of handling the senior and duplicate father in the bar ..preinterval and the restaurant scene with Anuya ....makes mark as a actor..but need to go long way in terms of emotions and expressions,,but the character suits the mood of his face...Siddharth after the dumb debut in anantha Thandavam is refreshing in the richie role...he is smart and carries the first half of the movie in his shoulder...Rupa , anuya and new comer does their part well and rest of the cast is fair
It is the RR and songs which takes the muster movie to a above average flick..."MakkaYala", " thappelam", Ulaginil" ..all the song are edited and shot well...Makkayala is already into charbusters..BGM is at its best..and being 25the movie...Vijay showed extra care and that paid him penny...Photography is nice in songs and few scenes...editing is okay and screenplay is fine till the interval..after that it falters ..suspense elements are maintained at the nerve but looses its sheen...
Weakness
Screenplay??? is also letdown with there is no logic in any part of the movie..The story or no -no concept thing is the biggest hole...what is the motive of Karthick? why is he so bad?why should he hide the murder if he is goodie? is he a good guy? psycho, or pessimistic? it is not clear any where in the characterization lacks depth....the investigation scenes are sloppy and the killing are justified ....does the director brings a message that anything can be done to live..killing/kidnapping/swapping??..not a good moral...
Verdict:3/10( 1 for songs& RR, 1 for Vijay Antony and 1 for photography& few thrilling moments)
Movie canvas Punch: Naan....few good and plenty loopholes......
