Here comes an another horror/witch hunting movie...Hansel and Gretel: witch Hunters. 3D...The trailers and pictures of the movie made our mind about cool entertainment...Big black dark eyes, needle pointed chin, acid-pored faces and importantly crooked nails which needs a immediate manicure with a wooden stick( Magic stick) is how aWitch looks..how does this movie looks?

Story
Two children's were abandoned in a dark forest by his Father ...being siblings they get caught with witch in ginger bread house ..(chocolate house!!) ..Both of them tortured and suckered by the deadly witch..But they both kill the witch and grows up has Hensel( Jeremy Renner) and Gretel (Gemme Artherton) who turn into deadly.. bounty-Witch hunters, determined to get rid of Gory witches from the World. by either burning or chopping the head....Title !! is amazing.
A mayor from a small village, employs Hensel and Gretel to find and hunt Witches ..who abducts children's in the village and there are no traces of them..At the same, Sheriff of the village doesn't believe on them...look out on his own way to find the lost children's...Though Hensel and Gretel find few Witches... kill them with support of Mina and a boy..they guess more powerful or evil out in the woods ....Muriel( Famkee Jansen) who is touted to be the Head of Witches is on a mission...Hensel and Gretel finds the secret that... when 12 children's are killed at a blood moon day..those witches origin 's will be immortal and cannot killed by fire..
In a Attack , Hensel and Gretal are separated by Muriel, but she let Gretl alive..though she had a chance of killing her..Gretel comes to know that her heart is what the witch was looking for...She gets caught with Mureil and good -hearten ghost Edward( slave for Witches..). as the secrecy of abandoned by her parents gets revealed ....how come they both hunt that powerful and evil witch and saves all the children forms the story..
Strengths
The Titles of the movie with black and white explanations...in 3D with small story of Hensel and Gretal growing up is projected in a amusing way..The graphics and CFX of the movie is exciting when seen in 3D....The photography travels fast in dark deep woods ...Greenaries and water beds are well captured...The first hunt witch in the forest , trapping a witch with a child's voice, village and prison attack ..climax one will entertain us in big way for a simple story movie...The stunts are quite good with more shooting, jumping, diving...guns and bow-arrow things make this Witch movie ...glued to the seats..Action sequences looks fantastic...
Jeremy Renner..who is establishing himself as a bankable star with movies like .."The hurt locker".."Avengers".."Bourne identity".."MI 4" played brother to Gemme justified his presence..he looks cool as Hensel ...love towards his missing sister are well executed by this man...Gemme Artherton, Brit beauty starred in movies like "Quantum of solace", "Prince of Persia" ... played Gretel is ferocious in the stunts and quite good in every department of acting... with her leather pant-fur coat classic costumes She never looked gorgeous & beautiful in previous movies..Femkee Janseen( Xmen,Taken, Golden eye star)..a bad Witchflying in pitchfolk, around bad moon is earching for the heart is entertaining ...Sister -Brother knot is also a different one from routine couple lead
Weakness
The movie could not hold it's spiciness after 40 min.....the story about witches and their hunters are told million times in the hollywood history but with slight variations...screenplay or scenes could have more racy and the end was dumb simple, killing all the witches with the holy water poured in guns & bullets ...( flowers in Ears)....few of the killings /scenes in the movie is bloody & gory like Edward killing sheriff people and the gunshots.....lot of movie mixes are found...like Cage Starr er..The season of the Witch, Van Helsing( here vampire hunters),, etc,.
Still,..Hensel and Gretel is not a sleep walk movie ..entertains action lovers who loves hero/heroine hunting the evils.
Verdict: 5/10( 1.5 for Jeremy and Gemma, 1 for CFX, 1 for the photography, 1 for the action sequences and .5 for 3D special effects)
