Story
Surya( Dileepan) a share auto driver lives with his samll family in Samathuvapuram...Anjali a girl who lives in his opposite house with her family has a ambition of marrying a corporate employee goes for the spoken english class..Surya tries to woo her but she doesn't but she doesn't avoid him too..During the auto travel he tries to woo her..At the same time a Rowdy( Sampath) who does all dirty work for rich fellas , a jewellery shop owner and his son and a insurance agent & his friends are trying to kill surya for separate reasons..Why do they want to revenge him?
Once surya goes to hotel with his family...goes to ATM pick his money..where sampath intervens his rowdy act..steals the money considering him as innocent..but he is not right ..he gets so strong,
goes to gym buils his confidence and hits back furiously ..gets his money..so all his group....goes out of him blaming is capabitlity..so he gets to slum life..needs a revenge...the jewwlley owner..like to kill a
Income tax officer, who is not bending his rules for him..he plans to kill him& daughter in day light, busy chennai spot where he intervens and saves him..becoming pet for his family...
but his opposite house friend, who is insurance agent, wants to kill him,,though surya didn't have fight with him...they plan to steal a gun from goondas who hides in chennai after a brutal murdering a person in
madurai...
Did he survives ?, what is the reason for his friend to kill him? Does his good heart life left him alive or not? is told and unfold in terrific way. ..but with a violent and little heroism budding here and there..
Strengths
It is the screenplay of Kinslin which makes audience hooked to the seats...The suspense element is there from the opening of the movie..his characteraisation needs a pat, which potrays the comman man life...very near to real life humans..Romantic scenes brings us the enough humour without a comedian,,and action sequences are very well placed..worked out gutsly...the movie has some fine twist and sudden shocks which engages us quite well.
It is kinslin show though he falls to the trap of logic at the last 30 min..but it doesn't damper the pace of the movie...Gibran the music director has come with some fine & melodiuos song.."kuru", "mutta Kannu" are pick of the lot..not to
forget his BGM...it simply takes out this action movie to comfort level..the photography is clear and rough ..shows the innocent/ cruel people life in chennai..Editing is razor sharp ensures the pace of the movie
stunts are at its best..Rajasekar the stunt man behind the movie..the punches looks deathly..and daring...
On the acting department..Anjali does it again..though her role has the shades of EE, she easily carries out the spoken english class girl..her innocence, and her shopping song makes merry..she proves her meetle with this middle class role ...Dileepan is adequate,..he is Macho and towards climax his work on fights and vengence are well brought..he shines in romance too...his expreesion over his friends revenge are good..Samapth, Jagan and Jai prakash ..once again..unforgetaable role and they are bread & butter of movie Vathikutchi..Sampath is class and Jagan & his team are kolaveri...Casting is fine..with Saranya tops the emotional aspect.
Weakness
The movie's theme is so violent and my opinion few scenes/dialgoues leads as bad example to the scoiety..the scene where JAgan & his team talk about kidnapping a boy and its ease...the day light murder plan, ATM scenes and few are brutal..Though kinslin Showed the reality, it sets a wrong impression on young stars..Logic goes out towards climax..eating,resting, can he able to fight..good man can/should live against crimes and needs to against it..but is it possible in
real life...?
Vathi kutchi has fire ..watch out for some blood hard hitting entertainment
