Resident evil 4: Afterlife Review

Here is the fourth installment of the video game series . All other 3 parts are not great but it was enjoyable and gripping action fare. Resident evil 4 after life this time in 3D, kicks off well as zombie-action thriller but still fall short of being a usual T-virus or say zombie movie

Story

Movie kicks off from Tokyo's underground umbrella corporation where all the world has been affected/apocalypses with T-virus whereas the genetic corporation still tries to find the alternate for the T-virus in army protected underground corp. Alice(Milla Jovovich) with her breeds enter the corporation ,tries to kill person who uses the other left humans in experimentation. She bombs, fires bullets, slice and cuts heads & legs of the army. Finally the villain escapes as Alice comes to know the secret place named Arcadia a Zombie free-zone, where humans are not affected with this deadly virus lives there in order to rebuild the human civilization.

So she travels with a plane to Alaska, to find out missed humans. surprisingly she could not find a single life except Claire(ALi Larter) who is her close buddy ...Watch 3 rd franchise..., suffers from Amnesia could not remember what happened to other people and her. Alice takes Claire with her , travels to Zombie surrounded dusty LA.She lands her plane in building as she finds some human survivors live there.

Shockingly she understands that Arcadia is not the place but it is ship where they can get help. With other survivors she plans to go to ship but it is not possible with dangerous Virus infected crowd down the building. Claire slowly remembers the past and find his brother in the survivors team. They all plan together to reach the ship but the Gory zombies breaches the building and gets into , kills some of them.Alice,Claire and her brother escapes after some dare devil stunts, gun shots, top jump-----rope jumps,sharp knife slices to ship. Alice and others have been trapped undauntedly by the umbrella corp. What happens to other humans in the ship? why are they trapped? RE 4 Reveals it in 3D...

Strengths

Compared to the previous films, the story follows a sensible progression and offers some fun moments along the way. The dialogues are witty and fun. The story doesn't fall out of the track . Milla Jovovich is acclaimed for her role Alice and she is fantastic in action scenes .....the opening stunts and scenes toward the escapes. She is all lady in front of the franchises. Ali larter , other casts are usual and provides good support.

Photography is quite natural .The lighting's to the dust shade ,tokyo and Zombie LA, Alaska location are attractive. The film is racy from the start to finish with some kick ass flying,cropping,jumping. Editing is slick. The action sequences are best when you watch in 3D and lot of top angle shots , jump fights will keep you glued to the seats. Director Paul off screen husband of Milla and the director of the 1 st RE is back with gripping-suspense flick.

Weakness

Though the story travels in line, the screenplay fails to have some intelligent action scenes like the previous installments. Underworld series, legion and other Zombie movies runs through our mind brings a negative shade for the movie. The action scenes are quite good but could have been effective than the audience expectation.Music for the zombie-suspense thriller is not to the level though some rock guitars in the background garner your attention.

Resident evil 4 will be loved by the video gamers and those who expect some time pass as well as kick ass action thriller or you a zombie fan.....RE 4 will be the good choice
