Aadu Puli a usual macho hero mass movie directed by debutant Vijay prakash is another potboiler with very few scenes evoke interest . Aadhi..it's time to think of a good script selection..

Story
Idhaya kani( Aadhi) a care free youth is very much affetionate towards his father(Prabhu) who is ardinent fan of MGR and his family-consisting grandfather(ravi chandran, Grandam(K.r.Vijaya),Mother(anupama) ,sister.They live happily all together. But all of sudden, Idhaya falls for Anjali(Poorna) after some cat-mouse game( terrible!!! scenes).
On the parallel, Thillainaygam(Suresh) a bad minister ,acts good in the public but a dark-dreaded goon makes an attempt to become CM of the state with the help of rowdy Bhavani. In a street fight between Idhaya Vs Bhavani men, a close buddy of Bhavani dies and waits for a revenge over Idhaya .Bt there comes a twist that by seeing Anjali with Idhaya he cancels his plan because she is the daughter of politician Thillai.
Thillai accepts for the marriage but other side tries to kill all the members of the family, Idhaya comes to know his master plan and teaches a lesson to him by eliminating all his evil Plan with Anjali's help.the rest Aww......Awwww...
Strengths
Aadhi is apt for the role.He loves and fights sincerely but needs to be careful in selecting the story. Poorna is beautiful but has put some weight. Prabhu is at his usual delight to watch be it ....coffee shop scene /burnt house in the village..he proves great. Ravichandran,K.R Vijaya and other are okay.
Two of the songs are foot-tapping from Sundar.c babu "unnai" and theme song sung by SPB is good. BGM is adequate for the masala movie.Photography is fine as well as Editing. . It is yester year actor Suresh as the corrupt politician steal the show. His Demeanor, Voice modulation, soft nature villain portrayal is clap worthy as that of Mayilsamy (his PA)
Weakness
Screenplay for the old cliche story should have some fresh/brain storming scenes but lacks Punch.Apart from Few sequences the movie feels-boredom of already -seen movie hangover. Love parts are vital in the movie and even the climax show the importance &power of love but Aadhi-poorna has very less scenes to fall in love that too lacks chemistry.
The movie most of time is Predictable is biggest weakness. how many time to see this old kinda story in the screen!!!!!!?.Michael Rayappan has carved his niche in the movie industry..will he maintain his brand?
Verdict: 3/10(1 for suresh,1 for Aadhi& cast & 1 for Music)
