Story
Rainy night girl walks in the road where a auto stands in the corner with 2 persons one at the back seat covered with the bed sheet told ill by the auto driver to the stranger women. ( wow ..Don't miss the aerial shot of the Photography)women gets doubt and calls to police... but she is kidnapped by the auto driver and her assistant. Next day two human hands are cut,kept in the box at the crowded place. The incident often happens in the city, at the same time innocent people like auto drivers, insurance agents , young girls are also missing in the city. People are terrified and AC hand the case over to CBCID. CBCID incharge get the case to his close buddy and intelligent officer JK( Cheran)
JK doesn't takes the case has police cannot find her missing sister for the past 3 months. Officer finally convince JK, he takes the case with two other assitants and starts his investigation , he opens up a old case which is against Annachi, a womens silk showroom biggie peeps into the dressing room of the women.The abandoned women and his doctor family files complaint against the Annachi but over a day they all suicide by burning their house. JK's team is supported by Yudas(JayaPrakash) govt. autopsy Doctor. Through a series move, he too gets a murder attempt from the enemy. At last , he slowly reveals the fact and he suspect a Police inspector(Selva) for missing girls who is behind the chain of murder in chennai.
JK is true to a extent but is shocked when Police doesnt have any connection with Hands cut and showcased in public place. Then who is the culprit behind the womens kidnaps and hand cuts/head cuts is terrifying ...n splendid climax...
Strengths
Undoubtfully, it is the first half of the movie. The credit goes to the Director for making the dark movie with some fine tuned scenes with rapid pace is the highlight of the movie. Suspense kept in pot .. and step by step when revealed by cheran is silent- dark..un- expected. Photography is the next aspect for this profile movie with newcomer comfortably places himself in the race of some ace photographers.His floor-kept,aeriel view shots ,lightnings are top- notch for thriller movie.
It is music which adds tempo to the high-volt movie. Be it background or one song "kannithevu" song Mr K,Debutant composer ..welcome you with red carpet..though some strings are inspired from holly-flicks. Cheran, unbelivable as CBCID officer is no doubt his best in acting career. Fights is impossible for Cheran kinda guy,But the pre interval fight scenes by cheran.... enjoyed by the audience is surprising.His career has be revamped.
Selva, the brother of Actor Rajasekar is surprise pack.Both the assitants are quiet good. Jayaprakash as yudas is memorable whereas the Jayalakshmi with bold mother role especially in climax is amazing....she was fantastic with ace actor Y.GEE giving his best. Myskin dialouge are noteworthy with Neetu& Ameer doing a Cameo in song is plus. Stunts are solid.
Weakness
On the flip side, it is the second half which doesn't match the pace of the first 1 hour of the movie. It too falls on the revenge saga and easily it reminds the recent flick EeSan. Still the movie has the hangover of Anjathey with black t-shirts, dull faced cops,bold headed cruel s
