KULLANARI KOOTAM MOVIE REVIEW

Kullanari kottam is second movie from Vennila kabbadi kuzhu production house. Most of the cast and crew of Vennila boarded here too but with two exceptions..Ramya and Sri balaji.Assistant director of Suseendran. No expectation on this movie at the time of release..has come to turn out the Magic of Vennila ..does it did ?

Story

Vetri( Vishnu) a MBA Graduate, an unemployed man lives with shelter of his father/brother money got a good family. His father gets the task of recharching the mobile for 1500 rs to specific plan from cell service provider. Unfortunaly the shop girl recharges it to another person. Vetri calls the person and she is college girl Priya(Ramya) , explains his situation of recharging it wrongly, ask her the money else his father will not forgive.

Initially she gets irritated but accepts to get back the money meets him without revealing her identity to Vetri. With his soft attitude, innocent character she falls in love with him , as few days goes vetri comes to know the drama played by Priya but falls in love. One fine day, Vetri and his brother goes to her house for marriage talk. Priya's dad accepts their love but being a ex-military reveals a condition that the groom should be a policeman/military person.

Vetri father, who doesn't like a policeman from his child hood ,urges his family too not involve in policeman relationship. Vetri is in confusion. With the support of Mom,brother he overcomes his dad...comes to Chennai ...meets four friends..gets into police training..He does it well in all departments but due to political interference all his friends including him are avoided in the interview..at the same his dad to come to know about his ambition leaves it his own way..how his friends overcome the problem and let the way to Vetri love life is rest....

Strengths

It is Sri balaji, the director is the saviour of the movie. Be it the fresh first half loaded with humorous love scenes,family ambience projection,or the second half obstacle that a common man faces in police selection is treated with humour is the biggest attraction. Vishnu , after avg outing has bounce back well...and is treat to watch ..essays the role with ease gets thunderous response from audience...Ramy nambeesan is beautiful with her homely looks/costumes. She has good footage and proves her acting skills with some cute expressions

Suri, Appu kutti,vennila kabbadi team friends, Vishnu father,mother ,brother, cellphone shop Girl,MLA..lot of charcters make best impression . One liners coming out in unexpected scenes or serious scenes will surely bring the house down. Even the Dialogues are fresh like chilled apple. MLA Hostel scene, Training scenes, tv serial scenes ....are dhamakas..

Photography is cool and has caught Madurai well( good to see a soft movie with madurai background).Music by Selva ganesh is melodious and "Viligaliley" already hits your ears ..is soothing melody..BGM too good. Editing is slick and the direction is handled well with a simple neat story..Kudos for the director..no blood..no fights..no vulgarity....double meaning ..a thorough family entertainer....

Weakness
Story line doesn't have significance instead have concentrated on script. some logic loop holes in 2nd half .

Go without any expectation ....sure this movie will worth the penny..
