Jack the Giant slayer 3D movie review

Jack the Giant slayer didn't create  fuzz with promo's or trailers .. the only big name associated with it  Bryan singer , the director of X man franchise handled this bed time story of Jack and Bean talk...To an extent it succeeds with specific age group audience who kept hooking to this fairy tales..thanks for the eye dazzling set and photography for this high action-mega budget entertainer

Jack The Giant Slayer
Direction: Bryan Singer
Actors: Nicholas Hoult, Eleanor Tomlinson

Story

The film begins with a farmer boy Jack  and princess girl said the same bed time story of a king Eric who defeated man-eating giants with a special made thrown and save his people...After his death, the crown is safely protected some where..As Years Pass on, the boy grows to  a man Jack(Hoult) goes to town to sell his grand fathers horse..in a street show, Jack winds up meeting Isabelle( Tomlinson) the princess and valiant knight Elmond( Mc gregor)..In the scene, a Priest gets him a magical beans for his horse and warns it shouldn't touch water.....but his Grand pa is not happy and says rubbish about beans...

At the same, The princess has been promised to get married to Roderick who is baddies who desires for kingdom, where the dejected princess denies the proposal of marrying a old man, escapes from the fort and lands Jack  house at a rainy day.... Unfortunately , the beans touches the rain water and immediately  grows into giant tree or branch towards the sky ..even takes the princess and whisking the hut. too...Confused king send his royal security guard Elmond ,his knights and Jack to get back his daughter..Jack fears about the story of the Giant's land who are in between earth and god....they land to the top and of course they come to see the real giants, who waits for the revenge of the king Eric and take over Earth...Isabelle gets into the hand of Giant head two headed Fallon ...knowing the story..all are trapped except Roderick , who has the special thrown with him.so now he is the king..he has cruel plan of taking Giants to earth ....destroy..rule over all the nation...how Jack , Isabelle, Knight fights and brings down the Giant said in entertaining way....

Strengths

It is the interesting screen play and the sequences which keeps the undemanding audience in the seat..Though the story is simple of rescuing the princess and fight against evil..it is overshadowed by some exciting performances from the lead cast ....The set pieces are brilliant and CFX is good to the fairy tale story...It was taken utmost care ....the Giant living land, the whisking bean, the bean bridge between the sky and earth, the two headed giant and his fellas....are fun to watch....From the starting to the end..it keeps the pace....Music and photography are two strong pillars of the movie..which make our mind relieved from the word Bore!!!!....

Hoult is perfect and cool as Jack..and his scenes with Tomlinson..shares good.screen chemistry...He does it quite comfortable with other senior cast..Tomlinson is gorgeous as princess and added adequate contribution for the fun movie..she is hot and beautiful with charming face..Ewan Mc Gregor, Rucci and Mc shane ..Billy night played their part perfectly and justified their versatility....Bryan Singer has given a entertaining fairy tale story after few super hero's and reality hero's crossing Hollywood

Weakness

It is little awkward ...the movie feels like cinematic baby sitting material...little work on characterization and few more unquestionable scenes , the Jack movie would  had potential of turning into money spinner..the CFX is good but in few parts it is not clear or shoddy..it resembles few movies like Lord of the rings, Wrath of Titans, John carter.....

But over all, Jack , the Giant slayer will find its audience being reasonably fun and frolic

Verdict: 6/10( 1 for Hoult & Tomlinson, 1 for casting Performance, 1 for CFX, 1 for Music , 1 for Photography and 1 for fun quotient)
Movie canvas Punch: Jack the Giant slayer...f(u)antastic fairy tale...
